I. Product introduction
The U-type soft seal butterfly valve is a high-performance regulating and shutoff device. Its core sealing pair adopts a unique “U-type” design. The valve seat is usually precision molded from high-quality rubber (such as EPDM, NBR, PTFE, etc.) and has a U-type structure. This valve is small in size and light in weight. It is widely used in pipelines of petroleum, chemical, food, medicine, papermaking, hydropower, ships, water supply and drainage, refining, energy and other systems. It can be used as a regulating and intercepting device on a variety of corrosive and non-corrosive gas, liquid, semi-fluid and solid powder pipes and containers.
II. Main features
1. Excellent sealing performance: The unique U-type valve seat design has automatic compensation function. When the valve is closed, the butterfly plate and the U-type valve seat are in interference fit, using the elastic deformation of the rubber to achieve “zero leakage” sealing; when the valve is opened, the valve seat is quickly reset, effectively reducing wear and ensuring a tight two-way seal without leakage.
2. Light and flexible operation: The valve stem and butterfly disc adopt high-strength anti-fly-out structure, and the transmission is smooth. The opening and closing torque is small, the switch is quick, and it can be easily operated by handle, worm gear or pneumatic/electric actuator.
3. Corrosion resistance and long lifespan: The valve body can be made of cast iron, ductile iron or stainless steel, and is lined with corrosion-resistant rubber internally. The U-type valve seat is not easy to age and tear. Even under frequent opening and closing conditions, it can maintain good elasticity and sealing, and its service life is far longer than that of traditional center-line butterfly valves.
4. Wide application range: suitable for water, air, oil and weakly corrosive media. The operating temperature depends on the sealing material (usually -10°C to 120°C).
