Tianjin North Net News: In the Dongli Aviation Business District, the city’s first individual-funded machine tool museum has officially opened a few days ago. In the 1,000-square-meter museum, more than 100 large machine tool collections are open to the public free of charge.
Wang Fuxi, a villager in Zhaobei Village, Xinli Street, Dongli District, loved machinery since he was a child and was obsessed with collecting various machine tools. He started doing machining with his father when he was eighteen or nineteen, and always dreamed of building a museum. After more than 20 years of hard work, the dream finally came true. At present, the museum houses more than 100 pieces of large-scale machinery and equipment and more than 1,000 pieces of industrial products from China, Switzerland, Germany, the United States and other countries. In the future, Dongli District will rely on the museum to build a platform integrating industrial tourism, cultural exhibition and academic exchange in the city, dig out the history of industrial culture, and develop new themes of industrial science and technology tourism.
