Although the butterfly valve can be used to adjust the flow in the pipeline, but usually in the small diameter pipeline butterfly valve is rarely used to adjust the flow, one is because it is not easy to adjust, the other is because the butterfly valve sealing performance and the same flow adjustment of the globe valve, ball valve, there is a certain gap.
Butterfly valve has a Rubber Seated Butterfly Valve and a hard seal Valve, the two different sealing forms of butterfly valve use is also different. Butterfly Valve also have two types: Concentric butterfly valve and Eccentric butterfly valve.
Soft sealing butterfly valve has good sealing performance, but it is not resistant to high temperature and high pressure environment, so it is generally used for water, air, oil and other weak acid and alkaline media.
Hard sealed butterfly valve can be used in high temperature and high pressure environment, and corrosion resistance, generally used in chemical industry, smelting and other complex working conditions.
The transmission mode of butterfly valve is not the same, and the use is also different. Usually, the butterfly valve installed with electric device or pneumatic device will be used in some certain dangerous conditions, such as high altitude pipe, toxic and harmful medium pipe, the manual butterfly valve is not suitable for manual operation, so the electric butterfly valve or pneumatic butterfly valve is needed.
