The length of the wafer concentric butterfly valve bolt is long, and the construction accuracy requirement is high. If the flange on both sides is not right, the bolt will be subjected to a large shear force, and the valve is easy to leak.
The wafer valve bolts are generally long. Under high temperature conditions, the bolt expansion may lead to leakage, so it is not suitable for large pipe diameter under high temperature conditions. And the wafer butterfly valve is generally can not be used for the end of the pipeline and the downstream need to be removed, because when the downstream flange is removed, the wafer valve will fall down, this situation must be done in another short section to remove, and the flange butterfly valve does not have the above problems, but the cost will be relatively high.
There are no flanges at both ends of the wafer butterfly valve body, but only a few guide bolt holes. The valve is connected to the flanges at both ends with a set of bolts / nuts. In contrast, it is more convenient to remove, the valve cost is low, but the disadvantage is that one sealing surface problems, both sealing surfaces have to be opened.
