2.Installation Y-strainer steps
1. Be sure to open the plastic packaging of the product within the clean room range before installation;
2. Hold the outer frame of the filter with both hands during handling;
3. At least two people are required to install larger filters;
4. Do not hold the middle part of the filter by hand;
5. Do not touch the material inside the filter;
6. Do not use a knife to cut open the outer packaging of the filter;
7. Be careful not to distort the filter when handling;
8. Protect the gasket of the filter to avoid collision with other objects.
3.The operation and maintenance of the Y-strainer
After the system has been working for a period of time (generally no more than one week), it should be cleaned to remove the impurities and dirt accumulated on the filter screen during the initial operation of the system. After that, regular cleaning is required. The number of cleanings depends on the working conditions. If the filter does not have a drain plug, remove the filter stopper and filter when cleaning the filter.
4.Precautions
Before each maintenance and cleaning, the filter should be isolated from the pressurized system. After cleaning, use a new gasket when reinstalling. Carefully clean all pipe threaded surfaces before installing the filter, using pipe sealant or Teflon tape (teflon) in moderation. End threads are left untreated to avoid getting sealant or Teflon tape into the piping system. Filters can be installed horizontally or vertically downwards.
